UNIVERSITY HILL SECONDARY - PERSPECTIVE
![]() University Hill's first graduates were the class of 1937 and at that time the secondary school was situated on the site of the present elementary school. In 1954, the secondary school moved to the Acadia Road building and additional facilities were completed in 1957. The school is situated in a naturally beautiful setting of lush forest which provides a tranquil and inspirational learning environment. University Hill's school colors are purple and teal, and there are two logos. One is historical, with UHS on a traditional shield; and the other is a stylized hawk symbolizing an affinity with nature and a commitment to action. The Grads of 2002 will be members of the 66th University Hill graduating class. University Hill Secondary is a small school which offers a comprehensive academic program for its students. Our traditions and culture are characterized by a strong commitment to academics, as well as active participation in athletics and the fine and performing arts. We are a close school community, with parents, students, and teachers working together to create and maintain high quality educational programs in safe and supportive learning and social environments. |
